Viqarunnisa Noon College silver jubilee July 24-25

The Viqarunnisa Noon School and College will celebrate the silver jubilee of its college section on July 24 and 25.

Viqarunnisa Noon College completed its 25 years this year with almost hundred per cent success in HSC examinations from both science and humanities groups each year. The college section was launched in 1978.

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is expected to join the celebrations at the inaugural ceremony.

The Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee is now busy finalising the two-day programme that includes cultural performances by the present and former students, sessions of reminiscence, and music concert.

Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, a private institution that boasts the highest number of female students, now runs two shifts from primary to college level in two separate campuses.

About 11,000 girl students receive education from its Bailey Road main campus and the Dhanmondi branch.

In the just announced SSC exam results, 53 students got GPA 5 (A+) -- the second highest number among all schools and the first among the girls schools.
