One would have been amazed to see their excitement on the evening of July 22. Most of the time they are busy with their lawsuits at the court of law. But on that evening, graduate students of the School of Law at the Bhuiyan Academy celebrated the institution's decade of success.
Bhuiyan Academy School of Law, which has so far produced more than a hundred Barristers, awarded certificates and prizes to its scholars at a ceremony. Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, was the chief guest, while Barrister Aminul Haque, Minister for Post and Telecommunication, was also present as the special guest on the occasion. The Principal of the academy, Barrister Rabeya Bhuiyan, presided over a discussion session, held just before the ceremony.
The most fascinating part of the evening came when the guests and teachers joined the students on stage to perform.Justice Toffazl Islam, Barrister Rabeya Bhuiyan, Barrister Shamsuddin Chowdhury, Barrister Tania Ameer, Barrister Anik R. Haq also delighted the audience with their amateurish but warm-hearted presentations. The programme seemed more like a get-together for the judges and lawyers.
The evening was full of entertainment. A colourful fashion show, dance, drama and music made it memorable for everyone present.
