Bomb attack on Ashura function in Moulavibazar condemned

The Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) yesterday condemned the bomb attack on an Ashura programme at Pritimpasha village under Kulaura upazila in Moulavibazar district on February 20.

In a statement, CPB President Manjurul Ahsan Khan and General Secretary Mujahidul Islam Selim said the attack was a part of the series of bomb blasts across the country.

The Moulavibazar district unit of the Workers Party of Bangladesh also condemned the attack.

District Secretary Abdul Ahad, in a press release, said although none was killed in the attack, it was targeted for mass killing.

Both the parties also demanded immediate trial of the criminals involved in all the bomb and grenade attacks in the country.
