Neerey Tar Neel Dheu
A new comedy serial with a message

'The unique element of drama serial Neerey Tar Neel Dheu is that it offers subtle and witty humour which is rare in today's comedy serials," said Abu Sufian, the scriptwriter and director of the 52-episode serial.

Under the banner of Viking Productions, the drama serial features popular actors such as Tauquir Ahmed, Joya Ahsan, Richi Solaiman, Dilara Zaman, Saleh Ahmed, Masum Aziz, Dolly Zahur, Shabnam Parveen, Ferdousi Leena, Challenger and Mithu.

Directed jointly by Abu Sufian and Mizanur Rahman Labu, the background music and theme song of the serial is composed by Maksud Jamil Mintu.

The story of the serial starts with a dramatic sequence. "My name is Maria. My mother is an Indian and my father: a Pakistani. I was born in an airplane en route to the USA. But at heart I am Bangladeshi". This is how a girl describes her identify in a matrimonial. Out of curiosity, the protagonist of the serial, Redwan comes to attend the interview and gets involved with her. However, he learns that she is looking for a true friend not a suitable husband. The story also includes some interesting people related to Redwan such as his uncle. After losing his job because of being outspoken about his boss, the latter decides to start a business. But somehow he also fails in business and plans to join the service sector. Redwan's grandma is another peculiar person who attempts to commit suicide by jumping from her 2-foot-high bed.
