Concern over jute seed crisis

The Private Sector Consultative Board (PSCB) of the International Jute Study Group (IJSG) yesterday urged the governments of jute producing countries to take necessary steps to make jute seeds available in Bangladesh.

At a meeting held in the city yesterday, the PSCB officials expressed concern over the jute seed crisis and lack of trained manpower in the jute field.

PSCB Chairman Shams-ul-Haque chaired the meeting. IJSG Secretary General T Nanda Kumar was present at the meeting.
