Domestic helps

I was appalled to read the news of two minor girls being tortured brutally by their employers in the city. It is indeed a serious problem. A section of the people do not seem to realise that these minors are helpless and their survival depends on a humane treatment on the part of their employers. But the reports published in your paper gives a very dismal picture of what is going on.

The law enforcers should be tough on these people who torture minor domestics in a barbaric manner. We cannot claim ourselves to be a civilised nation if children are subjected to these types of torture and repression.
