Firing Exercise
Army to give Tk 50,000 to family of killed girl

Army authorities will give Tk 50,000 to the family of a four-year-old girl who was killed during an army firing exercise in Savar Wednesday afternoon.

According to ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations), the authorities will pay the money to the victim's family as assistance.

Besides, a three-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident.

A bullet hit Alo, daughter of Mohammad Alam of Baipail, while she was playing at Basundhara playground at about 5.30pm.

She was rushed to local Halima Clinic and then shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where she died.

The army men were practising firing inside the Savar Cantonment, which is about one mile from the spot.
