Jolbalika to be staged for Mujibur Rahman Dilu
On the occasion of the silver jubilee show of Jalbalika, a stage play by Padatik Natya Sangsad, the theatre group has arranged a three-day festival titled Jalbalikar Rajat Jayanti Manchayan Utshob. The play will be staged from July 26-28 at the National Theatre Hall of Shilpakala Academy, says a press release. The profit from the ticket sales will be donated for the treatment of renowned cultural activist Mujibur Rahman Dilu, who has been suffering from GBS Syndrome. A popular name in the theatre arena in Bangladesh, Dilu has worked for different theatre troupes. He has adapted, directed and acted in several stage plays. Dilu is also a coordinator of Tonatuni, a popular children's organisation.

Before each show of Jalbalika, Nrittam, Nrityanandan and Jago Art Centre will present dance programmes.
