Cultural activists lend a hand for Mujibur Rahman Dilu
Renowned cultural activists have jointly given a fund-raising call for the treatment of Mujibur Rahman Dilu. The acclaimed theatre activist is now critically ill at the BIRDEM Hospital. He was attacked by a rare viral disease called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) on June 30, 2005 in Kolkata while on a cultural assignment. On July 16 he was moved to Dhaka.

He has also cerebral viral attack besides GBS. He is currently on a ventilator. This disease, is however reversible and often lingers for long and the treatment is expensive, says a press release.

Anybody interested in contributing towards the treatment of Dilu should send their contribution to Savings Bank Account No.18-2663430-01 with Standard Chartered Bank. Dilu has an online banking facility in the name of his wife Rani Rahman.
