4 frauds held

CID (criminal investigation department) police have arrested four alleged members of an organised gang who were cheating people pretending to be the owners of private and government lands through forged documents.

The arrestees Amulya Chandra Biswas, 57, Humayun Kabir, 55, Hosne Ara Begum, 34, and Rashida Akhter, 75, were held up from the city's Sabuzbagh area on Thursday.

Police said members of the gang as their strategy to carry out the fraudulence activities rented houses in posh areas and allured the customers.
