Adnyaa girl's singles champ


Naik Adnyaa of India lifted the girl's singles crown in the Sheltech Asian Under-14 Tennis Series when she routed Indonesian Ysidora Grace Sari 6-1, 6-2 in the final at the Ramna National Tennis Complex on Thursday.

Pairing with Bangladeshi player Bhabna, Adnyaa also reached the doubles final against Indonesian duo Sari and Frederika Nadia.

The boys' events, however, will be all Indian affairs with Sitaram Sudanwa pitted against compatriot Athore Mansingh in the singles final and Sudanwa and Manuja Ronak set to clash Mansingh and Paranjape Sameer.

In the boy's singles semis, Sudanwa recorded a hard fought 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 win against Hutaruk Farulian of Indonesia while Mansingh outplayed Akio Si of Philippines 6-1, 6-2.

The boys' and girls' doubles finals will be held in the morning while the boy's final in the afternoon today, the concluding day of the meet.
