Govt fails to control terrorist activities: JP

The government completely failed to control countrywide terrorist activities that threaten national security and democracy, Jatiya Party Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam said yesterday.

At a joint meeting at the party office at Lalmatia in the city, Shahidul Islam said failure and irresponsibility of the government are taking the country into a grave situation.

" It helps the patrons and accomplices of the terrorists to hide and continue their terrorist activities at grass root level," he said while presided over the meeting.

He also said if the government does not try sincerely to resist bomb terrorism, the national dialogue would not bear any good.

Among others, Vice Chairman Mofijul Haque Babu, Joint General Secretary Ejaj Ahmed Mukta and Organising Secretary Abu Sayd Khan spoke on the occasuion.
