Biman flight stranded for technical fault

One hundred and sixty-eight passengers remained stranded for above five hours as a Biman airbus could not take off from Osmani International Airport last night due to technical faults.

The passengers were later flown to the capital at midnight by another airbus brought from Dhaka.

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight no. BG114 was scheduled to take off at 6:45pm with its 168 passengers, mostly for international destinations.

But the aircraft could not take off after repeated attempts until 7:45pm. As engineers from the capital failed to make the plane fly, the passengers were asked to disembark.
