Rajin sinks Netrokona


Kishoreganj squeezed past Netrokona by two wickets in the Dhaka Bank U-19 National Youth Cricket Championship at Mymensingh Stadium yesterday.

Rajin took 4 for 11 as Netrokona were bundled out for just 122.

But Kishoreganj were also stretched to the limit as they lost eight wickets in the process of chasing down the small target.

Nilphamari and Pabna won by a similar eight-wicket margin.

At Bogra, Lalmonirhat were bowled out for a meagre 85 with Sumon picking up three wickets for Nilphamari.

Then Raju scored 25 to steer his team to an easy victory.

Rafiquzzaman of Pabna hit the only half-century of the day to help his side to an emphatic win over Rangpur.

No matches were held at Barguna, Sylhet, Chittagong, Faridpur, Magura and Khulna due to rain.
