BTV revives 'Esho Gaan Shikhi'

An interactive musical show for children, Esho Gaan Shikhi, one of BTV's most popular programmes, is being revived. Conducted by Ferdousi Rahman, the programme where youngsters learn the basics of music will be aired this morning at 8:30. Twenty children (aged between 6 to 10) will participate in the show.

It should be mentioned that the programme started in 1964 and quite a few prominent cultural personalities of today have participated in the show as students at some point. Ferdousi Rahman became known to the young audience throughout the nation as 'Khalamoni' (aunt), as she was called in the show.

The popular puppet characters Mithu and Monti will also perform in the show to encourage the children.
