'Ronin': Another Frank Miller creation to go on big screen |
Following on from the phenomenal success of 300, Warner Bros has snapped up the rights to Frank Miller's graphic novel Ronin, with an eye to giving it the same high-gloss movie treatment. The book follows a deadly battle between a masterless samurai and a demon, both reincarnated in a futuristic New York.
According to Variety, the film will make extensive use of the same CGI and green-screen techniques used in 300, while following the usual Miller template of copious bloodbath and extreme terseness. Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard) is behind the camera.
