Creating an enabling environment to improve maternal health

EngenderHealth is a leading global women’s health organisation committed to ensuring that every pregnancy is planned, every child is wanted, and every mother has the best chance at survival. In 20 countries around the world, they train health care professionals and partner with governments and communities to make high-quality family planning and sexual and reproductive health services available.
Recently Mayer Hashi project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through an Associate Award under the RESPOND LWA, managed by EngenderHealth in partnership with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programmes and Population Council organised an workshop Creating an Enabling Environment: An Advocacy Toolkit for various stakeholders in health care service delivery in Bangladesh. The four day long workshop ended up with a dissemination session of the advocacy toolkit.
