Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir on Sunday blamed activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir for attacking law enforcers and violence in the capital during Hefajat-e Islam’s Dhaka blockade programme.

“Jamaat-Shibir men are involved with the violence at different parts in the city including Baitul Mukarram mosque premises, Paltan and Topkhana Road,” the minister said, quoting Hefajat leaders.

The minister said some Hefajat leaders informed him about the involvement of Jamaat-Shibit men with the violence.

Muhiuddin was talking to reporters at his office at Secretariat.

The minister said Hefajat got permission for holding its rally at Shapla Chattar in the capital’s Motijheel area as its leaders had pledged to hold the programme peacefully.

“But the law enforcers will take immediate action if there is any violence by them (Hefajat men),” the minister added.

Does that accusation resonate among the common people of Bangladesh? I don’t know. Comments will be appreciated and enhance my understanding of convoluted Bangladeshi politics.

    What does it mean?
He should have been kicked out (removed) for what he said earlier!

The DMP allowed the Islamists to hold a rally in downtown Dhaka that turned violent. The DMP is under the Home Ministry. The minister should take full responsibility.

MKA didn’t specifically mention whether he was verbally or otherwise informed by “some Hefajat leaders about the involvement of Jamat-Shibir men,in attacking the Cops” hence MKA’s claim, to take with a grain of Salt!!!

See I am not a mind reader, nor do I want to be. I can only talk things that are written in the article. I don’t want to waste my time to find any conspiracy theory. Those who want to do so , they are more than welcome :)
