I want to congratulate everybody on the occasion of our 42nd independence day. The developments Bangladesh has made since independence are spectacular. I know many would say Bangladesh should have progressed more, but I want to remind them that we are still a relatively new nation in comparison with other developed countries of the world and there is still a long way to go. I can’t thank our farmers, labourers and migrant workers enough who are relentlessly striving to make our national economy stronger. As students, it’s our duty to recognise and add to their efforts and to study and research diligently so that each of us can make an asset to the nation in future.
