Rakhi burst into the media scene after receiving the prestigious Lux Superstar award. She is now busy both as an actor and model, and of late, has been preoccupied with Eid dramas. The ever-smiling recently spoke with The Daily Star about her Eid plans.
Where will you celebrate Eid?
Rakhi: I hope to stay in Dhaka and share the joy of Eid with my family and near and dear ones.
What’s your plan for Eid?
Rakhi: I have made a lot of plans. I have bought many clothes for different family programmes and will try to wear all of them.
What about Eid dishes?
Rakhi: Mother makes many tasty dishes for Eid and I relish them. My family will join me in sharing those delicacies.
Do you still get ‘Eid Salami’?
Rakhi: I used to enjoy getting it in my childhood. Now I don’t get it; as a matter of fact, I have to give ‘Salami’ to youngsters.
Do you have memories of your first fasting of Ramadan?
Rakhi: As far I can remember, I have been fasting since class two. My soul feels strong after fasting.
Where you have done your Eid shopping from?
Rakhi: I went to Aarong, Eastern Plaza and  Bashundhara city several times. I disguised myself so nobody would recognise me.
How many TV plays have you done for this Eid?
Rakhi: I have worked in six dramas for upcoming Eid. I acted against Zahid Hassan, Tauquir Ahmed and Mahfuz Ahmed respectively in “Emotional Abdur Motin”, “Ekta Gopon Kotha Chhilo Bolbar” and “Adhare Aalo”. “Mir Jafar” will be telecast throughout six days during Eid. Mosharraf Karim acts opposite me in the TV play.
