Even with the abundance of fast food stores around Dhaka city, there are some places that hold a special kind of significance in the heart of the youth. You just want to turn back to the good old places that you trust more when it comes to satisfying your appetite. Whether it is for their special iftaar items during Ramadan or just for their delicious and filling hunter beef sandwich, Sausly’s has always maintained a standard when it came to the favourites list for the people of the city.

ce02In 1999, a company in Bangladesh first offered to develop an extra ordinary fast food store, with a joint venture with a company in Germany and gave the world a taste of something new and exciting — Sausly’s. Home style side dishes and hot and fresh biscuits, are just a few of the perks of Sausly’s. Utilising only the highest

quality ingredients, innovative recipes, and time-tested cooking methods, Sausly’s promises their customers a treat that would definitely make them come back for more.

Situated in different parts of the capital — Panthapath, Gulshan or even Sobhanbag, Sausly’s is usually buzzing with a mixed crowd. Young or old, everybody wants a taste.

“Lunch time is the busiest, from what I have gathered every time I come here. I usually drop by here after university to grab a bite of my favourite sandwich- the smoked chicken sandwich. The way they make their sandwiches is very different from others. Their food is always so fresh, feels like they’ve been made at home,” says Shamsad Ahmad, a student of Stamford University.

Apart from the homely feel in their food, Sausly’s is also a very budget friendly place to snack in. The sandwiches, the most sold item in the joint, range from Taka 80 to Taka 135. But their ultimate club sandwich will be a little pricier due to the added coleslaw and French fries. The burgers range from Taka 80-200 as well, and there is beef, chicken, vegetable and more. Their hot dogs cost just Taka 100 while their shawarmas cost just twenty taka more. There are other snacks like fish fingers, patties and other fried items like kebabs, fried chicken, chicken wings, lasagne and more.

Shumayla Huda, a student of University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh, says, “I absolutely love Sausly’s. Since I’m still a student, I have a very fixed budget on how much to spend on food and I can always trust Sausly’s to cater to my hunger. I first came here with a friend, less than a year ago, and got hooked to the place! The food is so good and affordable. I would recommend this place to students around the area who can’t find a decent place to eat and remove the in-between class hunger.”

Sausly’s also has their own line of frozen poultry products like sausages and meat-loaves for people who want their food around at all times. All you have to do is take a pack home, fry them yourself and have your Sausly’s experience in the comfort of your own room.
