Hindu temple torched in Comilla

Miscreants vandalised and torched a Hindu temple in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla early Wednesday as attack on minority communities continues.

Unknown criminals vandalised the temple and set fire to it at Battala Kalibari in Chapatali village of Mohammadpur East Union in the dead of night, said Abul Faysal, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station.

Subhash Bhoumik, a resident of the village, said locals guarded the temple till 2:30am today in wake of attacks on minority community.

They found the tin-shed temple completely alight in the morning, Bhoumik said.

Five statues of Hindu gods and goddess have been damaged during the incident, he claimed.

This was pretty much expected. Hindus are the very soft target of Bangladesh. These cowards know that if they touch Awami Leaguers, there will be a price to pay.

Let us not point fingers here… it can be from any political party.. like we seen recently a BCL was caught red handed trying to destroy shahid minar.

I as a Muslim strongly condemn against the attacks made on Hindus it is not part of Islam to vandalize and torch religious monuments of other people’s religion Allah Subhanuwtaa’la orders us in Holy Quran “God does not forbid you, to act fairly towards those who have never fought you over religion nor have driven you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them.” (60:8).

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi wa sallum dealt with Non Muslims beautifully and was able to create a society where both Muslims and Non Muslims lived in peace.
i demand strong punishment of those involved in these activities

May Allah Subhanuwataa’la give us all the capacity to follow Islam properly Ameen
