Weekly Planner

Week 4

The days are almost over with Eid only days away. Keeping in mind the swine flue outbreak, maintain proper hygiene. As the movement of the homebound people is to sure keep Dhaka a desolate city, Dhakaiites enjoy
the comfort while it lasts. Eid Mubarak!

Tuesday
During the evening, make a way onto the wide-awake festive streets of the city. The city has a risen temperature from the Eid fever as the heat of the festival sinks in. The malls have extended their business hours, so now you can finally take your time as you rummage through a heap of clothes to find that perfect attire.

Its high time to prepare your 'things to do' before the Eid frenzy takes over. Chores left for the last minute will keep bouncing back in your face amidst the utter chaos of Eid-time traffic and the shopping hullabaloo!

Thursday
How many times has this happened? That we failed to express ourselves to our nearest ones. That we failed to make best use of the moments we share into ones we learn to cherish rather than having them wasted in petty grudges and selfishness. Spend the last days of Ramadan with the ones close to your heart and make the best use of time.

Our pick
The Time Traveller's Wife
One of those rare occasions when a book is transformed into a major motion picture, keeping the originality and the plot intact, yet providing the audience with a cinematic version that has moments of sheer brilliance of its own. A romantic drama, this movie, or the book by Audrey Niffenegger if you prefer- is a story that touches many genres and is sure to touch your heart.

Friday
Somewhere in the heart of pastoral Bangladesh, an ailing mother or maybe a father awaits your return. Make sure you reach your destination safely.

'It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job: it's a depression when you lose yours.' - Harry S. Truman

Saturday
Before this blessed time leaves us for another year, make sure you have your Zakat calculated, if not dispersed amongst those in need. Just to give you a wake up call, Zakat is not charity; it is the poor man's right over those who are financially sound. So, Wake Up!
Our pick
http://gb.asterix.com/
It has been quite sometime since we saw Asterix, the Gaul and his zany friends in the booklover's circuit. Bookshops no longer maintain a good stock of comics as they used to even a decade back. Maybe its high time we let them know of our need for our cartoon friends.

Sunday

A dress without the perfect set of accessories is a box of breadsticks without a cheese dip. It is time you put on that searchlight and set out on your mission to find those perfect stilettos, those chandelier earrings or that perfect pear shaped ring. Complimentary cosmetics are a must buy. Stocks are limited, so get going.
Our pick
Samantha Swift Series of flash games
It's a hidden object, adventure game themed on archaeology where the protagonist goes on a hunt for treasured relics.
Snacks in a snap

Monday
Take things easy. The last four weeks have been taxing on you physically as well as emotionally but don't lose it in the last hour. Engage in last family activities like cooking, or maybe watching a drama on television.
Our pick
Where the Sidewalk Ends: A poem by Shel Silverstein
The poem speaks of leaving the sidewalks and venturing into a place mellowed and made loving by the presence of children. The poem seems especially appropriate in this festive season where people in large numbers leave the concrete sidewalks and go back to the roots of their soul.
