Imported paper

In the budget for the current year, the duty on imported paper has been reduced. But the paper mill owners have claimed that it will put in jeopardy an investment of around Tk 3,000. In the recent years, a huge amount of tax was imposed on imported papers. And the local paper mills took advantage of the situation and increased the prices of papers. And students are the main victims.

The education sector has been the top priority sector for all governments. So the government should calculate how many people will be benefited if the tax is not reduced? May be the figure will not exceed 15,000. But what is the number of the beneficiaries of such tax reduction ? It may be over eight crore! So now we are ready to witness who will get preference -- 15,000 or over 8 crore?
