World Sports Journalist Day rally held

Bangladesh Sports Writers Association (BSWA) organised a rally in the capital on Saturday to mark World Sports Journalists Day yesterday.

The rally started at 7am from the Public Library and ended at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium premises. Sports journalists, sports writers, photographers, players and organisers took part in the gathering.

Director of Exim Bank and chairman of the audit committee Nurul Fazal Bulbul opened the rally as the chief guest while BSWA president Sarwar Hossain and general secretary Rafiqul Islam were present on the occasion.

BSWA officials declared that their office will remain a 'tobacco free zone' in accordance with the theme “tobacco free sports arena” of the World Sports Journalists Day.

BSWA is an affiliated body of International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
