Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bangladesh Marian Tomasik called on Foreign Minister Dipu Moni at the Foreign Ministry yesterday morning.
They discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest such as trade, commerce and investment and educational co-operation.
They highlighted need for exchange of trade delegations and participations in each other's trade fairs to enhance trade. They also emphasised on continuing the cooperation in regional as well as international forum.
The Foreign Minister appreciated support of Slovakia for Bangladesh's candidature in CEDAW. She also highlighted on the substantial contribution made by Bangladesh in regional frameworks like SAARC in attaining peace and development.
They underscored the need for high political visits between the two countries and agreed on regular consultation through the foreign office.
