Bangladeshi Idol to hit TV Screens

“Bangladeshi Idol”, the local version of the world's most popular and successful television reality shows, is set to kick off soon on satellite channel SA TV. Delta Bay Distribution and Production introduced the judges of the show at a press conference yesterday at Hotel Ruposhi Bangla in Dhaka. The judges are: Ferdousi Rahman, Andrew Kishore, Ayub Bachchu and Mehreen.

“Idols” have aired in more than 129 series, in about 43 territories so far. It's is a knock-out music talent show that follows each contestant's life story and follows it from auditions to the final, thereby involving the audiences into the heart of the format. The auditions for the competition will begin in February.

Delta Bay Distribution and production had also launched Bangladesh's first ever international reality show “Ke Hote Chay Kotipoti” (franchise of the globally phenomenal show “Who wants to be a Millionaire”) on Desh TV in 2011.
