Div I cricket

Kazi Shamim claimed six wickets as Magnum Cricketers registered a two-wicket victory against City Club in the First Division Cricket Super League match at the City Club ground yesterday.

In the day's other match at the Dhaka University ground, Touhidul Islam captured five wickets as Bangladesh Boys beat Orient Sporting Club by 16 runs.


BANGLADESH BOYS CLUB: 200 all out in 48.1 overs (Moklesur Rahman 35, Sakhawat Hossain 34, Hasanuzzaman 32; Rony 3-32, Abdul Momin 2-18, Latiful Azom 2-19, Hossain Hassu 2-32).

ORIENT SPORTING CLUB: 184 all out in 41.1 overs (Hafizur Rahman 53, Ali Hossain 40; Touhidul Islam 5-42, Mahfuzur Rahman 3-43, Nuruzzaman 1-39).

Result: Bangladesh Boys won by 16 runs

CITY CLUB: 118 all out in 25.2 overs (Ashish 27, Saddam Hossain 27; Kazi Shamim 6-29, Mahebullah 2-43).

MAGNUM CRICKETERS: 121 for 8 in 22.2 overs (Sohel Rana 33, Mostafizur Rahman 33; Jubaer Hossain 5-27, Monjur Ahmed 2-45).

Result: Magnum Cricketers won by two wickets.
