Sabbir shines

Sabbir and Ashfaq Rohan hogged the spotlight as Rajshahi and Chittagong shared the honour on the first day of the three-day semifinal match of the Young Tigers U18 National Cricket Competition at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra yesterday.

Rajshahi rode on Sabbir's 114 to finish the day with 255 for eight. Rohan claimed five wickets for 36 runs.

In the other semifinal, Sylhet were bundled out for 120 runs in their first innings on the first day against Khulna at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.

KHULNA DIVISION: First innings 35-1 in 15 overs (Adnan Islam 18 not out).
