MPO of 48 schools cancelled for 'no pass' in SSC exam

The government Monthly Pay Orders (MPO) to 48 educational institutions, mostly girls high schools of Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Joypurhat, have been cancelled as they had zero percent pass rate in the 2007 SSC exams.

The education ministry urged Rajshahi Education Board to take stern administrative actions against these 48 institutions for failing to obtain satisfactory results.

Sources in the deputy commissioners' offices said 17 institutes of Dinajpur had their MPOs cancelled, 14 in Thakurgaon and 16 in Panchagarh and one in Joypurhat.

The 17 institutes of Dinajpur are Adarsha High School, Manmathapur MR Girls High School, Maddha-Magura Kathalpara High School, Belghat High School, Sadarpur High School, Habra Girls High School, Azampur High School, Kushdah-Hilirdanga Girls High School, Kamarpara High School, Nawkhayer Adarsha High School, Harinandapur High School, Doulatpur Union Girls High School, Goalpura Girls High School, Mahanpur Girls High School, Nalbari Girls High School, Baladangi High School, Ishanpur Girls High School and Kodalkathi High School.

The 14 institutes of Thakurgaon are Karnit High School, Bahot High School, Jhargaon Girls High School, Molankuri Girls High School, Yakubpur High School, Dewangaon-Doyel High School, Bibhi Girls High School, Nasibgaon Adarsha Girls High School, Ramna Chanduhar Girls High School, Alshia-Bakar Akata High School, Banglagarh Girls High School, Chanpon-Parbatipur Adarsha High School, Ratnai Girls High School and Amgaon Girls High School.

The 16 institutions of Panchagarh are Kadirpur High School, Pahartoli High School, Langolgram Adarsha Girls High School, Pukuridanga High School, Bhutipukuri Girls High School, Ayubul Haque Girls High School, Boalmari Girls High School, Shalshiri Girls High School, Dhakarhat Adarsha High School, Bakhshiganj Girls High School, Maria Girls High School, Shatkamar Girls High School, Alua-Khowa Girls High School, Gunjanmari Hati Adarsha High School and Vitura High School.

Durgadah Girls High School was the only school of Joypurhat that had its MPO cancelled.
