HC order to release ADAB fund stayed

The vacation bench of the Supreme Court has stayed for four weeks the High Court order that directed the government to release ADAB fund for carrying out its development project.The order came upon a petition filed by Attorney General AF Hassan Ariff on behalf of the government before the chamber judge, Justice Syed JR Modassir Hossain, on Sunday. The High Court on May 26 also issued rule upon the NGO Bureau Affairs to show cause why holding up approval of the fund should not be declared illegal. Director of ADAB Aminul Islam filed the writ.
