The national airliner stormed into the final after thrashing Narayanganj by 103 runs. Rajshahi, playing in their first national final, defeated Comilla by five runs in other semifinal.

Biman skipper Faruque Ahmed and his Rajshahi counterpart Mushfiqur Rahman were both confident ahead of the big match.

Faruque said, "We are a better side in all departments. Hopefully, there will be no problem against Rajshahi."

Mushfiq, the all-rounder, was also happy with his side's ability.

"Most of my players are good fielders. We are not overawed facing Biman. Rather, I am confident my team will cause an upset."
