Various organisations have drawn up programmes to pay tribute to one of the pioneers of free-thinking.

Udichi Shilpi Gosthi, Chittagong chapter, will hold a seminar titled 'Social thought of Abul Fazal' at Zila Parishad auditorium at 6.00pm.

Dr Shipra Dastidar will present the keynote paper while Editor of daily Azadi Prof. Mohammad Khaled, Dr Abul Kashem and journalist Muhammad Idris will take part in the discussion.

Bangladesh College University Teachers' Association, Aabritti Samannaya Parishad, Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilon Parishad and Onoma Sangskritik Gosthi will also observe the day with different programmes.

Wreaths will be placed at the portrait of Abul Fazal at his residence, 'Sahitya Niketan', at Kazir Dewri in the morning.
