Remain alert against grabbing lands of indigenous people

Leaders of Bangladesh Adibasi Samity (BAS) have called upon its workers to remain alert against the grabbing of the lands of indigenous people by the forest department showing them as vested property.

The call was given at a rally organised by BAS in observance of historic 148th Santal-Peasents Revolution Day in Dinajpur on Monday.

The BAS leaders urged the government to initiate land reform and control the price of daily essentials.

Presided over by Sri Bishwanath Sing, president of BAS, the rally was addressed by Dr Samsunnhar Khan Dolly, Mahmud Jamal Kaderi, ABM Solaiman Kaderi and Jaed Iqbal Khan.
