Commercially Important Person

Many business personalities are enjoying the status of "Commercially Important Person" (CIP) granted by the Government of Bangladesh. But there are many businessmen who are not suitable for enjoying these facilities. The government should give proper attention to the matter and should declare the status of CIP to a businessman considering the following issues:

a) How much income tax he/she has paid to the government.

b) How many employees are working in his/her office.

c) How much tax/vat are paid by his/her office.

d) How much foreign currency his/her company has earned?

e) Whether labour law, employment law etc. are properly maintained in his/her company.

f) Special steps taken by him/her for the welfare of the staffs.
