Agitating Biman employees barred flights from taking off at the Zia International Airport (ZIA) for more than four hours following arrest of four fellow officials.

Four Biman officials were arrested in connection with foreign currency recovery from a toilet at ZIA recently. Police picked them up yesterday on the basis of a case.

When the employees heard of the arrest, they stopped work and demanded immediate release of their colleagues.

The four were taken for interrogation and freed later on bond, police said.

After a meeting with the high-ups the agitating employees resumed work, sources at ZIA said.

And, Take off from ZIA resumed at 12:38pm.
