Police and locals chased Aslam, 30, Aziz, 25, and an unidentified youth, 30, who were robbing a man in Sutrapur at noon and finally caught them at Banogram.

The mob beat them leaving all the three injured, one critically.

The alleged muggers live in a slum at Taherbagh. They are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Condition of the unidentified youth is stated to be critical, hospital sources said.

Police said the snatchers are members of an organised gang and used to rob Wari, Nawabpur and Sutrapur businessmen and residents.
