"Hasina snubbed by the US"

Mr. Mohammad from USA (June 30) wrote, "The US kept the Leader of the Opposition in limbo"! Though the writer expects, "this kind of embarrassment will finally open the eyes of the opposition party" I find it to be a wishful thinking. For Sheikh Hasina herself had declared vociferously, while in power, that her party won't resort to hartal any more even if they are in the opposition but now she seems to be completely oblivious of her promise!But why only blame the US, what about the cancellation of the meeting with the Indonesian President who was also embarrassed by the futile hartal. It is indeed high time the AL leadership realised that the general public has rejected this hartal culture. It only brings sufferings and misery for the people, nothing else.
