Swiss company to set up factory

A Swiss company has decided to establish an interlining factory with an investment of US$ 565,000 in the Dhaka Export Processing Zone.

Etacol Bangladesh will be the first Swiss company in the EPZs of Bangladesh.

The 100 per cent foreign owned company will produce annually 5 million yards interlining, packing and other accessories for readymade garments (RMG).

An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Etacol Bangladesh here on Wednesday, said a BEPZA press release yesterday.

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA M Nazrul Islam and Etacol Bangladesh general manager Wong Chu Sum signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
