Shazneen case
Hearing adjourned till Aug 3


Hearing of the Shazneen case has been adjourned till August 3 as Kazi Rahamat Ullah, Judge of the Second Special Tribunal for Prevention of Women and Children Repression, Dhaka, was on leave yesterday.

Additional Superintendent of Police, CID, Mojibur Rahman, the 23rd prosecution witness and also the investigation officer of the Shazneen case, will be cross-examined on August 3.

Earlier, 22 prosecution witnesses, including the victim's father Latifur Rahman, were cross-examined.

Shazneen Tasnim Rahman, 15, the youngest daughter of Latifur Rahman, Chairman of Transcom Ltd, was raped and murdered at their Gulshan residence on April 23, 1998.
