Ban on 2-stroke in Ctg soon

State Minister for Environment and Forest, Jafrul Islam Chowdhury said the government will impose ban on the movement of two-stroke three wheelers in the port city of Chittagong soon to protect it from air pollution.He said this while he was addressing the publication ceremony of the book titled "Duar Khule Dekhi" written by Rotarian Shakil Ahmed at the Institute of Engineers' auditorium here on Wednesday. Rotary club of Islamabad arranged the publication ceremony. District Governor of Rotary District 3280 Mir Anisuzzaman was present at the function as special guest. Rotary club of Islamabad President Dr. Jahangir and Rotarian Abdul Ahad also spoke at the function. Jafrul Islam said industries responsible for polluting the water of the river Karnaphuli would be shifted from the bank of the river. He sought cooperation from all quarters including the Rotarians in this regard. The speakers at the function said Rotarian Shakil was involved with the cultural arena and wrote poems, short stories, side by side the social work. "He portrayed the real look of life, sorrow and joy in his poems.
