'Resist anti-liberation forces unitedly'

Speakers at a discussion on Thursday called for a united movement to resist the anti-liberation forces and the war criminals who are trying to destroy the spirit of War of Liberation.The Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee organised the discussion and a photo exhibition in memory of those killed during a protest on July 24, 1994 against the public meeting of Golam Azam at Laldighi Maidan. Writer and journalist Shahriar Kabir said the killers of Ehsanul Haq Moni, Zafar and Titu are yet to be brought to book. Justice KM Sobhan attended the discussion as chief guest at the Chittagong Press club. Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury inaugurated the photo exhibition. He announced that a memorial to those killed will be built on the central Shaheed Minar premises. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Shyamoli Nasreen Chowdhury, Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Babul and Advocate Rana Dasgupta also spoke at the discussion. Noor Jahan Khan, a woman activist, presided.
