Army major beaten up during joint drive

A team of joint force raided the residence of an army major in the city and beat him up following a brawl. The team found nothing illegal in the house Major Sabbir Ahmed at Nayabati, Khalishpur now on leave, sources said. On information, a group of senior army officers rushed to his house and inquired about the incident. A committee was formed with local BDR sector commander, a colonel of the DGFI and few others to probe the incident, sources added.
