Tawfiq Aziz Khan's wife dies

Suraiya Begum, wife of late Tawfiq Aziz Khan, former executive editor of The Daily Star, died of a cardiac arrest at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital last night at the age of 50.An associate professor of Information Science and Library Management, Dhaka University, Suraiya Begum was admitted to a city clinic on Thursday evening with a pain in her chest. But she was shifted to the hospital on Friday afternoon as her condition deteriorated. She died at about 8:30pm yesterday. Her namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Dhaka University Mosque after Zohr prayers today.
