An unidentified woman aged about 20 years was crushed to death by a vehicle near 33, Mintoo Road at around 12:05am. The saree-clad woman died on the spot.

Ramna police sent her body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. The body remained unclaimed till last night.

Meanwhile, a truck ran over an unidentified man aged about 34 years in front of Motijheel Colony High School at 5:00am, killing him instantly.

In another incident at Siddhirganj, a truck knocked down one and half-year-old Shaheda on Friday.

Daughter of day-labourer Mohammad Yusuf, Shaheda was admitted to the DMCH where she died yesterday noon.

In yet another incident, day labourer Jharna Begum, 40, fell down from the fourth floor of an under-construction building at Badda yesterday.

She was working at the fourth floor of a building at 38/B, Joar Sahara Lichu Bagan in Badda when she slipped down at around 9:00am. Her husband, day-labourer Abdul Baten, took her to the DMCH where doctors declared her dead.
