Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra will take on Chittagong Moha-mmedan Sporting Club in the opening match of the last leg of the Nitol-Tata third Natio-nal Football League which begins today at the Khulna Stadium.Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live at 4 pm. While Muktijoddha will be aiming to keep their all-win record intact going into their final match, their port city opponents will be hoping against hope to cause an upset or at least snatch a valuable point to close the gap on Abahani and Bangladesh Army. Both last year's runners-up Abahani and Army have four points compared to one for Chittagong Mohammedan but the latter however have two games in hand over their rivals. Meanwhile, the Khulna District Sports Association (KDSA) has made all necessary arrangements to hold all five matches smoothly. An organising committee headed by the deputy commissioner and president of KDSA Md Restadul Islam has been formed. The city has itself come alive with the chance of seeing big-name players in action. Colourful posters have been pasted on walls big banners have hung at important points in the busy metropolis. Also sixty-one ceremonial arches have been erected to welcome the participating teams. A press conference was held yesterday at local hotel, where the president and the general secretary of KDSA hoped every game would attract a full house.
