The agreement was signed at a simple function at the Ministry of Defence at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar here, an ISPR press release said.

Defence Secretary KM Ehsanul Haq and Ambassador of France in Bangladesh M Michel Lummaux signed the agreement on behalf of their governments.

Joint secretaries of the defence ministry M Afzal Hossain and Ismat Ahmed Chowdhury were present.

Under the agreement, the French government would provide training facilities to members of the armed forces in military training institutes of France.
