Another suspect held, Jamal not yet rescued

Chittagong police yesterday arrested yet another person but could not make any progress in rescue of businessman and BNP leader Jamal Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury 29 days into his abduction.

Police yesterday (Friday) nabbed another person for his alleged involvement in the abduction.

Yesterday's 56-year-old arrestee Md Abdul Kader Chowdhury is reported to be an associate of Abul Kashem Chowdhury, the prime suspect.

A special team of the Detective Branch and Chandgaon police nabbed Kader in a pre-dawn raid at the Bayezid area.

Twelve persons have been arrested so far, obviously to little effect.

The murder of another millionaire businessman Rezaur Rahman Zakir too remains to this day shrouded.
