BCL protests killing of Khulna city AL leader

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday brought out a procession and held a rally on the Dhaka University campus to protest the killing of Advocate Monzurul Imam, president of Khulna city Awami League. The BCL, student wing of the Awami League (AL), also demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to the killers. Addressing the rally, BCL leaders said the BNP-Jamaat alliance government has been killing the AL leaders systematically since it came to power. They threatened to launch greater movement if the government fails to punish the killers. Presided over by BCL DU unit President Delwar Hossain, the rally was addressed by Boloram Poddar, Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan, Zakir Hossain Maruf, and Hemayet Uddin Khan Himu.
