New stars born in Sylhet and Barisal
Lux has been creating stars all over the world. The Lux Anandadhara Miss Bangladesh Photogenic contest is the biggest event in Bangladesh to bring out creative, talented, brand new stars. Every year a group of new faces come up through this contest.The Lux Anandadhara Miss Bangladesh Photogenic contest is even bigger in scope this year taking place in all the divisions and then culminating into the final event at Dhaka. Lux Anandadhara Miss Photogenic 2003 for Sylhet and Barisal was held recently, says a press release. Amidst the brilliantly lit stage at Sylhet Parjatan Motel, the crown for the Miss Photogenic in Sylhet went to Shaila Shabnam, while Rina Das and Nafisa Naushad became the 1st and 2nd runners-up. Tinni, one of the Lux Anandadhara finalists of last year, handed over the crown to the winners. Asaduzzaman Noor and Arun Chowdhury were the judges from Dhaka, and Supriyo Chakraborty, Nizamuddin Laskar Moina, Shamshad Husham were the respected judges from Sylhet. The Lux Anandadhara Miss Barisal Photogenic 2003 took place at the Barisal Club. Farzana Koli clinched the crown, while Shathee Siddiki and Sonia Akhtar Urmi were adjudged the 1st and 2nd runners-up. Prottasha, one of the Lux Anandadhara finalists of last year, crowned the winner. Asaduzzaman Noor and Golam Mortuza, Manobendro Botobael, Mainul Hasan and Rahima Sultana Kajol were the judges. The crowning ceremonies were followed by cultural functions and attended by journalists, cultural activists and renowned persons.
